The primary ingredient in Vollure is hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a naturally-occurring substance found in the body. The primary function of HA is to attract and retain moisture so that your skin is plump and hydrated. With age, the body begins to produce less hyaluronic acid, prompting a loss in volume that results in fine lines, wrinkles, and hollow areas. When this occurs, the hyaluronic acid in Vollure replenishes some of what the natural aging process has taken away, restoring a youthful contour and improving the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Your Vollure injections will be done entirely in the comfort of Dr. Berkowitz’s Detroit office. The entire session will take about 15 minutes.
There is no downtime associated with Vollure, so you will be free to return to work and your normal daily routine right away. Vollure typically produces minimal swelling that resolves quickly. Some patients also report bruising, lumps, redness, and itching, but the effects are mild and almost always resolve within one week.
