What Is BodyTite?

BodyTite is a groundbreaking skin tightening procedure that uses radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) technology to remove unwanted fat tissues and tighten your skin tissues. It’s particularly suitable for patients with unwanted pockets of fat on various parts of the body and sagging skin tissues. Most traditional fat removal methods, like liposuction, remove the unwanted fat but leave masses of sagging skin behind. BodyTite removes the fat and tightens the skin, giving you a sculpted and contoured body. Most importantly, it’s a minimally invasive procedure that doesn’t cause harsh side effects, complications, or excessive downtime.

BodyTite for Skin Tightening

Accents Cosmetic Surgery provides the cutting-edge BodyTite treatment for skin tightening and fat reduction from targeted areas. As a treatment based on radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL), BodyTite combines the benefits of radiofrequency therapy and liposuction. The BodyTite device consists of probes that deliver radiofrequency energy into the unwanted fat pockets. The fat tissues are liquefied and vacuumed out of your body via a tube-like device called a cannula. The radiofrequency energy also encourages your body to produce new collagen fibers, thereby tightening the remaining skin tissues.

The BodyTite Treatment in Detroit

The BodyTite treatment is performed in our state-of-the-art and accredited surgical center under local anesthesia with sedation. You’ll be awake during the procedure, but the anesthesia and sedatives ensure you don’t experience any pain or mental anxieties. We’ll also deliver epinephrine to decrease bleeding. The BodyTite device consists of two probes—we slide one of the probes underneath the skin via a small incision, and the other probe is placed over the skin.

The two probes deliver radiofrequency energy into the targeted region to liquefy the unwanted fat cells. We move the probes back and forth over the treatment areas, and a separate cannula is inserted to vacuum out the liquefied fat cells. The radiofrequency energy also penetrates the deeper layers of the skin to activate collagen production, which, over time, tightens your skin. We provide compression garments after the treatment, and you can have someone drive you back home for recovery.

Recovering From BodyTite

BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that involves far less downtime and recovery than liposuction and other surgeries. You’ll experience mild bruising, swelling, and discomfort around the treatment spots for a few days, but you can manage the pain with medications.

Most patients take 2 days off work, but you should listen to your body and do what feels right. While you can resume most of your normal activities soon, you should avoid strenuous workouts for at least 2 weeks. Most patients notice around 30% results immediately after the treatment, owing to the immediate removal of unwanted fat tissues.

However, you’ll continue seeing improvements as the side effects recede and your body produces new collagen fibers to tighten the skin tissues. It takes around three months to experience significant skin contracture, but the results might continue improving for a year after the procedure. The final results last for at least 5 years.
