What Is FaceTite?

FaceTite is a non-surgical and minimally invasive procedure that can take years off your face without surgery, incisions, scars, or downtime. The FaceTite procedure uses radio-frequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL), which is a combination of liposuction and radiofrequency treatment, to remove fatty tissue and tighten your skin.

FaceTite uses a cannula and an external transmitter to deliver steady amounts of thermal energy into the fat tissues under your skin. The thermal energy liquefies excess fatty tissue as the radiofrequency energy catalyzes your body’s natural collagen and elastin production capabilities. Over time, as your body produces collagen, your skin starts looking taut, firm, and youthful.

What Happens During the FaceTite Procedure?

During the FaceTite procedure, local anesthesia is used to ensure optimal comfort. An incision is placed to deliver a special solution under the skin and two probes are repeatedly brought together in the treatment area (one probe above and one probe below the skin). The device generates a steady stream of radiofrequency energy.

The operator is in full control throughout the procedure, and the temperature is adjusted as and when necessary to avoid burning the skin. A new, very small incision is made for each different treatment area and the procedure is repeated as much as necessary to address all concerns. The emitted RF energy simultaneously destroys fatty tissue and activates your body’s collagen production capabilities. Thus it contours your facial skin while making your skin appear smoother and tighter.

What Is Recovery Like After FaceTite?

FaceTite is an ideal procedure for people who lead busy lives because they can easily slip it into their daily schedule. It’s also an outpatient procedure, so you can return home immediately post treatment. Most patients resume their daily activities and work within 48 hours of treatment. You should expect some of the following side effects to occur.

  • Mild swelling in the first few days, with small amounts of residual swelling for about 2 weeks
  • Mild and temporary bruising after the procedure
  • Post-procedural redness for the first 24 hours after the treatment.
  • A slight numbness and tingling sensation for a few days

After the FaceTite procedure, we will provide detailed aftercare guidelines. While you can resume most of your daily activities, you should follow the guidelines to ensure the smoothest and fastest recovery. You’ll wear sunscreen whenever you step outside for the first few weeks after the procedure.
