Volbella is formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a substance that is naturally produced by the body. Its primary function is to attract and retain moisture.

With age, our production of hyaluronic acid diminishes, and we can’t hold as much moisture. As such, formerly plump areas like the lips begin to thin. Your Volbella lip injections will be done in the comfort of Dr. Berkowitz’s office. The entire process should take about 15 minutes, and the results will be apparent immediately. The injections themselves are relatively painless, thanks to a local anesthetic that will numb your lips and ensure your comfort.

During the procedure, Dr. Berkowitz will carefully apply the filler to define the border of your lips, plump your mouth, and sculpt a full and feminine overall look. Most patients require one to two syringes for optimal results.

After Your Injections

You will be free to return to work and your normal daily routine immediately after your Volbella lip injections. For the first two days, you will experience some swelling. This will begin to dissipate shortly thereafter and should disappear completely within ten days. You may see some bruising at the treatment site, but it should be easy to hide with makeup.
