Cheek implants add definition and volume to flat or sunken cheeks. This procedure creates balanced facial contours with lasting results.
Safe and Permanent
During this procedure, a synthetic implant is placed over the natural cheekbone. A small incision is made inside the mouth in the crease above the upper lip. A sterile implant, similar to the consistency of the natural cheekbone, is then placed over the natural cheekbone to increase its projection. The implant is secured, and the incision is sutured closed.
After healing, the skin drapes smoothly over the implants, which conform to the bone and are usually undetectable. The cheekbones can be expected to mimic the look of natural high cheekbones. As is the case with chin augmentation, cheek augmentation is frequently combined with other cosmetic procedures such as a facelift.
