It sounds too good to be true: painless fat reduction. We all want to look younger and fitter, to walk down the beach or through the office with confidence, poise, and grace. Fat Freeze, or Coolsculpting, may let you do just that. Designed to target small pockets of fatty tissue in order to give your body a tighter, trimmer look, Coolsculpting works so well that by the time you leave the clinic, you’ll already be thinking about all the new outfits you’ll get to wear (and all of the old ones that will fit again). Now you can get coolsculpting in Michigan at Accents Cosmetic Surgery

The Slimming Solution

The Procedure

Coolsculpting is a unique approach to what might more traditionally be handled by a more invasive procedure, such as liposuction. With Coolsculpting Michigan, you get excellent results without the need for lengthy recovery or excessive pain. Where liposuction procedures make an incision to extract fat with a cannula, Coolsculpting noninvasively uses a mixture of on-tissue suction and targeted cold temperatures. It’s kind of like a very cold vacuum cleaner pressing against your skin.

Two Big Bonuses

Coolsculpting is a symbiotic procedure. The cold and suction work together in a way that makes each more powerful. The cold works to eliminate fat cells, but it also numbs your skin—this means that you won’t feel pain or discomfort throughout the procedure.

The suction adds the benefit of drawing fat cells closer to your skin. This extends the reach of the procedure, allowing Dr. Berkowitz to target even more of those unwanted fat cells with cold temperatures. These two aspects of the procedure really allow for a great amount of control and efficiency in the procedure—meaning you get the results you want more quickly.

Of course, because we maintain consistent control over the temperature, it means that we can select a temperature that targets fat cells but leaves normal skin cells unharmed. This means the fat dies but your skin is fine, other than a little. You’ll soon be able to slip into that bikini with no problem.

Is Coolsculpting Right for You?

If you’re thinking about what Coolsculpting can do for you, and we don’t blame you, you might also be wondering if you’re a good candidate for the procedure. We look for these basic qualities in our CoolSculpting candidates:

  • Generally healthy
  • Mostly a consistent weight
  • No history of hernia or treatment of hernia in the targeted area
  • Able to walk 1 mile a day
  • Wish to eliminate distinct bulges of fatty tissue
  • Have “pinchable” fat that can be pulled from the body

Results and Recovery

In most cases, recovery from CoolSculpting consists of taking the afternoon off. You may be required to take some Tylenol for mild discomfort following the procedure, but generally our patients don’t feel this is always necessary.

Some results will be visible immediately. But due to the nature of Fat Freeze procedures, it may take a while for those eliminated fat cells to be processed by your body. This means you’ll see steadily improving results for the following few months.
