DIFFERENT THAN COLLAGEN…
Unlike collagen, Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm are not derived from animals so the risk of allergic reaction is nearly eliminated. Aside from their minimal risks, HA's last longer than other injectible fillers now on the market. Dr. Berkowitz's patients commonly notice positive results for 6 months or longer - at least twice as long as collagen's effects. A touch-up treatment will further enhance the natural-looking results obtained with HA fillers.
DIFFERENT THAN BOTOX…
Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm add volume to smooth facial wrinkles, creases and folds. Botox® Cosmetic also smoothes wrinkles but works by relaxing the muscles underlying stubborn wrinkles, which will temporarily soften the appearance of lines caused by laughing, frowning or other facial expressions.
Hyaluronic acids and Botox® Cosmetic are often used together, but consultation with a skilled injector, like Dr. Berkowitz, will further clarify which product would better satisfy your rejuvenation goals.
