The vampire facial is one of our most sought after skin rejuvenation treatments. It involves applying the restorative portion of your blood onto your skin to stimulate collage production, which creates a smoother and clearer complexion from the inside out.
What is a vampire facial?
The vampire facial combines the restorative power of two treatment approaches – microdermabrasion and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) – to reveal luminous skin.
PRP is created from the serum portion of your blood – where platelets containing a high level of growth factors are found. When applied to the skin, these growth factors can:
- Stimulate cell turnover
- Help your skin function optimally
- Increase collagen
- Boost elastin production
- Promote antioxidant and hydrating properties
The procedure will involve performing microneedling to create hundreds of tiny, invisible wounds in the treatment area. In addition to promoting collagen production, this process allows the PRP to deeply penetrate your skin.
What can a vampire facial do for you?
- Improve the appearance of premature lines and wrinkles
- Restore an even skin tone
- Freshen dull + damaged skin
- Reveal a fresh + luminous complexion
What to expect at your appointment
Your vampire facial will begin with Dr. Berkowitz drawing a small amount of blood and processing it in a centrifuge to separate the platelets for the procedure. He will then perform a gentle microneedling treatment before applying the PRP directly to your face.
Your results: Brighter, clearer skin that gets better with time
The results of your vampire facial will emerge gradually as your body responds to the plasma by growing fresh collagen. Over time, visibly clearer, brighter and more youthful skin will appear. Many of our clients notice impressive results after just one session, though we recommend three treatments for an optimal transformation.
Recovery + Downtime
The vampire facial is a non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment experience. As such, there is no recovery period necessary and you will be free to return to work and your normal daily routine right away. To protect your skin after your facial, you should wear sunscreen and avoid makeup for the first few days.
You may experience some redness and tenderness (similar to a sunburn) in the treatment area for several days after your facial. Although these effects will diminish quickly, some of our clients prefer to stay home in the meantime.

Are you a candidate?
In general, the vampire facial is safe for most men and women and can rejuvenate almost any skin type or color. However, it is not suitable for clients with certain medical conditions, including:
- Bone cancer
- Blood cancer
Prior to and immediately following your procedure you will also need to stop taking prescription blood thinners and anti-inflammatory medications as they can increase your risk of certain complications.
