Dr. Robert H. Burke MD FACS proudly served as Captain, U.S.A.F., Air Training Command,1971-1973 and received his education at University Michigan School of Dentistry (D.D.S and M.S., Omicron Kappa Upsilon) and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine M.D. He has spent the majority of his career teaching, researching, lecturing, writing and publishing on cosmetic and plastic reconstructive surgery. He has received international recognition for his work in botox/neuromodulator cosmetic applications and innovative cosmetic surgery technique in breast augmentation, liposculpture, body contouring and facial reconstructive surgery. His academic career highlights include Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Professor of Facial Plastic Surgery, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University School of Osteopathic Medicine 1994 to 2021 with the esteemed Professor Emeritus Award. Adjunct Professor of Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Michigan School of Dentistry, 2002 to 2016. Founder and Medical Director of the Michigan Center for Cosmetic Surgery, Ann Arbor, MI 1990 to 2019. Developer and Director of the Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Programs with Oakwood Hospital Corporation in 1990 to 1996. Dr. Burke served as Trustee of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery 2008-2018, founded the American Association of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons 1993 and co-founded the International Society of Laser Surgeons 1993 and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery 2015.
