Thermage
This unique treatment allows for tightening of the skin, without the use of injections or surgery. Through the use of specialized radio frequency technology, Thermage treatment heats the deep layer of your skin, in order to stimulate tightening of existing collagen, as well as production of new collagen. The top layer of skin remains cool and intact during the process, and little to no recovery time is required. Best of all, results from Thermage are achieved in a single treatment. Most will experience a softening of lines and wrinkles, and will look younger and more well rested than before.
Artefill®
Artefill is an injectable wrinkle filler product. While most of these products are temporary, Artefill is specially formulated to be long lasting, since it resists being absorbed by the body. Due to this, less repeat injections are needed, which makes Artefill both practical and cost effective. This product is best used on nasolabial folds, which are deeper wrinkles running along the face beside the nose and mouth. Result are immediate following the simple office injection of Artefill.
BOTOX Cosmetic
Patients who are bothered by forehead wrinkles or sagging corners of the mouth may find BOTOX to be the solution for them. BOTOX is a diluted protein injectable that is effective in relaxing stubborn lines and wrinkles, or raising a drooping brow. It works by relaxing muscles and skin, for a smooth, youthful appearance. The in office procedure is available anytime Dr. Berkowitz is in, and is often painless. There should be minimal swelling and discomfort afterwards, if any. Within a couple of days after the procedure, the results will be visible. The effects are expected to last 3 to 4 months, at which time BOTOX can be re-administered safely.
Dysport®
Dysport is similar to BOTOX, using one of the same ingredients, Clostridium botulinum. Dysport also corrects frown lines and forehead wrinkles my relaxing the underlying facial muscles. The treatment is given via injection, right in the office. Although it is usually not needed, a topical anesthetic is available for the injection sites. After treatment, patients may experience headaches or eyelid drooping. In a few days time, lines and wrinkles will diminish in appearance. With several treatments, the effects of Dysport could last around thirteen months.
Restylane
Restylane is a dermal filler that uses hyaluronic acids to add volume to creases and wrinkles in the skin. HA's work by absorbing water over time, so the plumping effect can be rather long lasting, around six months or more. After this time, a quick touch up can extend the results even further. Note that Restylane works by adding volume rather than relaxing the underlying muscles like Dysport or BOTOX. The two types of fillers can be combined, but this is best determined by an experienced professional like Dr. Berkowitz.The risk of allergic reaction is low to non-existent, because there are no animal derived proteins in Restylane.
Radiesse
Radiesse is a unique dermal filler for soft tissue enhancement. It is highly effective in reducing the appearance of deep facial folds and wrinkles. Radiesse gives instant volume to the skin, while encouraging more collagen production. It is a water based gel, which is injected into the skin. After injection, Radiesse forms a framework for new collagen cells to attach to. Using this unique formulation, Radiesse can give much longer lasting results than most other fillers, up to 12 months or more. Downtime is low, and without the need for frequent touch ups, patients can get on with their lives while enjoying the incredible results. Dr. Berkowitz also has a technique for using Radiesse to enhance the cheeks, which reduces the appearance of nasolabial folds and enhances the jawline.

These products are a practical way to help restore a youthful glow to your skin if surgery is not right for you. Since there are no animal by products, the risk of allergic reaction is very low. Also, after a simple in office injection, the results could last six months or more from a single treatment.
Juvederm
Another of the naturally derived dermal filler products, Jevederm is used to fill in the deep lines and wrinkles that can form in skin. Juvederm can also be used add volume to hollowness under the eyes, plump thin lips, or fill other deep wrinkles. A safe, in office treatment, Juvederm is injected into the skin by Dr. Berkowitz, who has years of experience in the use of dermal fillers. Patients can expect the results to be almost immediate, and last upwards of six months. Then, only quick touch-ups will be required periodically to maintain the results.
