Question:

If I look up close at my face in the magnification mirror, I see fine wrinkles almost all over. Are these tiny wrinkles the type of wrinkles that laser skin resurfacing erases?

Answer:

Skin resurfacing is a terrific procedure to improve fine wrinkles on the skin. Usually someone that only has fine wrinkles would need a fractional procedure in order to accomplish this tightening. It can be done in isolation or with other procedures like Thermage, Microdermabrasion or Chemical Peels.

Question:

What is microdermabrasion?

Answer:

Microdermabrasion is a fabulous treatment that can be used to improve the skin quality. It exfoliates the skin. It can also be used as an adjunct to help topical solutions get into the skin to improve the texture, clarity and overall skin color. Little "sand particles" are used onto the skin, or in some cases, air or water can be used as well to help turn over the skin. Usually a series of treatments are necessary.

Question:

My face seems to be a variety of colors – I don't know if parts are tanner than others or if something else is going on. My doctor told me not to concern myself with it, but I hate it. I want more even skin tone. Will microdermabrasions work for this?

Answer:

Without examining you, it is impossible to say but microdermabrasions can help to even out skin tone. There are some better procedures as well, like IPL (intense pulse light) and laser skin resurfacing that can be used even on skin tone.
